The Les Chemins de Compostelle series, by Claude Dozorme, comprises four original pieces, each featuring an engraving of one of the four different routes to the famous village of Santiago de Compostela.
The"voie de Tours" is engraved on the inside of the blade, featuring the inscription of 4 four towns taking this route to Compostelle. The blade is made of X50CrMoV15 stainless steel, an ingenious composition that provides a cutting edge as tough as it is powerful. What's more, the blade is easy to resharpen.
The handle is described as"Capucin", one of the oldest models of pocket knife. It was shepherds in the Pyrenees who carved their handles in this way, giving rise to the curved shape reminiscent of a monk's hood. In addition, the handle is wrapped in oak wood, an emblematic species of the French forest, giving a beautiful aesthetic to this knife steeped in history.
