The sketch for the CRKT SCRIBE was created by TJ Schwarz, a designer specializing in custom knives and owner of a small store in New Plymouth, Idaho. Schwarz 's aesthetic is guided by the fact that efficiency always comes before beauty, but both can coexist very well!
This is confirmed by the unusual design of this flat knife. It looks very much like a pen (hence"SCRIBE") or a USB key, and fits easily into your pocket or hiking backpack thanks to its small size.
The SCRIBE is a little more suited to small, everyday EDC tasks, or for writing on wood during DIY projects, for example. It's easy to see why it's called the SCRIBE. It features a small 4.4cm 5Cr15MoV steel blade with a Stonewashed finish and a black nylon handle reinforced with fiberglass for good grip during use.
A pocket clip is integrated, which is unusual for a fixed-blade knife, but adds another practical option for carrying. It can also be attached to a paracord and worn around the neck thanks to the hook at the end of the handle.
For secure carrying, it also comes with a cap that covers the blade.
