The blade is made of Damasteel® stainless steel and features the Sparse Twist™ pattern. This blade combines two alloys using powder metallurgy. This method produces a homogeneous structure and creates a damask steel that combines an intricate pattern with good corrosion resistance and excellent edge retention. The Sparse Twist™ pattern emerges during the finishing stages: its twisted lines give the blade a graphic appearance, with each piece bearing a unique visual signature.
The handle, crafted from ziricote—a precious wood native to Central America—adds another distinctive material. Its naturally contrasting grain forms patterns reminiscent of landscapes or intertwined lines; each handle thus displays its own unique nuances and designs. Dense and hard, ziricote is prized in cutlery for its distinctive appearance and beautiful finish. Here, it creates a warm contrast with the damascened blade and the anthracite ring with a titanium finish.
