A sharpening disc developed in Japan

The HORL®2 Kagami sharpening disc has been specially manufactured in Japan for the German brand. Horl has enlisted the help of sharpening experts to bring you a disc that gives your blades an extremely sharp, mirror-like edge. Thanks to this disc, cutting is even sharper and more intuitive.

This stone is made of ceramic and enriched with white alumina. White alumina is renowned for its high abrasiveness, enhancing the efficiency of the ceramic to deliver results three times faster and more accurately than with a traditional Japanese ceramic whetstone.

How to use the Horl Kagami sharpening disc

This polishing disc is to be used at the end of your sharpening process. It is used only after you have run your blades over the discs in the Horl Premium Sharpening Set.

To take full advantage of the performance of your HORL® 2 Kagami disc, it is important to run it for at least 5 minutes on each side of the blade. Then, lightly moisten the Kagami disc, and pass it again for 1 minute on each side of the blade to perfect the work.

Note that it's important to regularly clean the stone as well as the blade of your knife to obtain the most precise and mirror-like results possible. Steel debris can get in the way.
