The Opinel Tradition Carbone N°12 folding knife is designed to be a durable partner for any challenge. Perfect for agricultural work and hunting, this knife is the ally of choice for those seeking robustness and reliability.
The 12 cm-long blade of theOpinel n°12 is made of XC90 carbon steel. This material is renowned for its exceptional hardness, guaranteeing a long-lasting cutting edge, increased resistance to wear and easy resharpening. Being sensitive to corrosion and humidity, this steel requires special care to prolong its life. After each use, wipe the blade with a soft cloth until completely dry. A regular application of oil to the entire surface is also highly recommended. Finally, do not leave the knife in a damp environment. These steps will ensure the knife's long-term durability and performance.
Made from beech wood, the handle of the Opinel n°12 folding knife offers a comfortable, secure grip. This wood, sourced from French farms, is varnished to better resist moisture and dirt, ensuring the knife's long life. The light color, varying from yellow to pinkish, and the small dark features characteristic of beech wood give the handle and knife a distinctive, elegant appearance.
This Tradition Carbone n°12 folding knife also features the Virobloc safety ring, a locking system invented by Opinel in 1955. Made of stainless steel, the ring is divided into two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. It locks the blade in the open position for safety during use. And it holds the blade in the closed position, notably for safety during transport.
