Description

A practical cutting tool for everyday use

Designed for lovers of high-quality tools, the Tradition Carbone N°02 folding knife is a masterpiece of ingenuity from French brand Opinel. As the brand's smallest folding knife, this pocket knife is an ideal companion for small everyday tasks: peeling fruit, opening envelopes, or even carving or sewing.

The heritage and authentic design of the Opinel N°02 knife

The blade of this N°02 model is made from carbon steel, making the folding knife particularly authentic. This alloy is renowned for its high carbon content, providing an exceptionally sharp and durable cut. This blade retains its sharpness longer and can be easily resharpened. However, it should be noted that its high carbon content makes it vulnerable to corrosion; it is therefore advisable to avoid leaving the knife in damp environments (soaking in the sink, for example) and to dry it after each wash. Over time, changes in color and the appearance of small stains on the blade are normal and depend on environmental factors (e.g. the humidity of things cut, or of the air). To protect it, you can oil the blade with mineral oil when not in use.

The blade also bears the crowned hand symbol, emblem of the Savoyard brand since 1909, attesting to the knife's authenticity and French origin.

As for the handle, it is crafted from a single piece of French beech wood, a natural species renowned for its strength, giving the knife a robust, durable structure. Protected by a varnish, the handle is more resistant to stains and humidity. Its design, unchanged since 1890, is also a signature of the brand.
