Opinel Tradition Inox folding knife n°09 9cm blade beechwood handle

The Opinel Tradition Inox n°09 folding knife is a true classic, originally designed by Joseph Opinel in 1896. Its reputation is well established, with a design that has stood the test of time without a single wrinkle. This model is particularly appreciated for its versatility and ergonomic design, making it an ally of choice for do-it-yourselfers and outdoor enthusiasts.

High-quality blade

The 9 cm blade of the Tradition Inox n°9 folding knife is made of martensitic stainless steel. This not only ensures a high-quality cut, but also high resistance to corrosion - essential features for a knife intended for frequent outdoor use. The steel's hardness, rated at 55-57 HRC, guarantees high mechanical performance for a wide range of uses. In addition, the blade features the Yatagan shape typical of Opinel knives. This design was inspired by a Turkish knife with a raised tip. This particular profile not only ensures unfailing sturdiness, but also simplifies sharpening.

Beech handle

TheOpinel Tradition Inox n°09 features a beechwood handle, sourced from French forests. It promises remarkable strength and optimum comfort of use. What's more, the varnish applied to its surface protects it from moisture and dirt, enhancing its durability. As for the locking system, this model features Marcel Opinel's Virobloc safety mechanism. This is an emblematic feature of Opinel knives. It locks the blade in the open position for safe use, but also in the closed position for secure transport.
