Opinel folding saw n°18 18cm blade beechwood handle

Opinel n°18 folding saw: a reliable companion for outdoor adventures

Designed by the famous Savoyard brand, the Opinel n°18 folding saw is an essential tool for gardening enthusiasts and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Its versatility and maneuverability make it a top choice for a variety of tasks, from delicate pruning in your garden to setting up camp in the forest.

Equipped with an 18cm carbon steel blade, the Opinel n°18 offers a remarkable cutting edge. The blade's anti-corrosion coating ensures its durability, even in wet or muddy conditions typical of outdoor environments. However, to maintain optimum performance, regular maintenance with mineral oil is recommended, especially if the saw is not used frequently. This practice extends blade life and guarantees a clean cut every time.

Comfort and use of the Opinel n°18 saw

In addition to its exceptional cutting capabilities, the Opinel n°18 saw shines in terms of ergonomics. Made from beech wood sourced from French forests, its handle offers a comfortable grip even during prolonged use. This beech wood has a beautiful light color, varying from yellow to pinkish, and is punctuated with small dark lines that give it a unique appearance. What's more, the varnish applied to the handle effectively protects it from moisture and dirt.

Safety is another notable feature of the Opinel n°18 saw. It is equipped with a safety hook, a crucial addition to prevent accidents, especially when the tool is transported or used in difficult conditions. This safety system ensures that the blade remains firmly in place, whether in the open or closed position.

The Opinel n°18 saw knife is an ideal tool for a multitude of tasks. Whether you're pruning branches up to 10cm thick in your garden, preparing firewood for a wilderness getaway, or even building makeshift shelters in a survival situation, it's your best ally.
