TAIDEA sharpening stones are renowned for their effectiveness. They give a precise edge to all your kitchen blades. You'll be able to get back to the cutting performance of yesteryear.
Founded in 2006, the company specializes in the high-tech creation of sharpening devices, designed to be ergonomic, durable and ultra-efficient.
This stone meets all these criteria!
It has 2 diamond faces, each with a specific grit:
- The 1st side has a 300grit, ideal for sharpening your blade in depth and restoring its cutting surface, which is gradually being damaged. To use, simply tilt your blade between 10 and 30°, and make gentle strokes on both sides of the blade. You don't have to do this every time, as it depends on how worn your blade is. In general, we recommend using it every 6 months (with normal use).
- The 2nd side features a 600 grit, for a smoother finish and a razor-sharp finish. Its surface features ultra-fine dimples, designed to bring delicacy to the process. As this side is less abrasive, it is recommended for more frequent use, once a week for example.
Note that the small, smooth surface inside the with granton edgesurface serves to collect the small metal scraps created during sharpening. This enables you to pre-clean the stone.
Once you've finished using the knife, you need to clean it with water to remove any steel residue, then wipe it dry before putting it away. To clean the stone, use a soft brush.
The anti-slip base ensures precise, safe use, with no risk of the equipment moving when the blades are passed over it.
Finally, it's important to note that this stone is not suitable for serrated blades. Also, diamond may discolor over time, a normal process due to the material.
