A very good gun, the grain is fairly coarse, making it possible to sharpen a dull, blunt knife blade. Not recommended for sharpening knife blades, as it is too abrasive.

Ceramic guns are always a little abrasive, but here the grit is too coarse. I don't know if it's a defect of the model I received, or one that's supposed to disappear after honing (??), but we're more on the equivalent of 240 or 180 grit! The edge of my test knife ended up full of chips and scratches, good for taking it all back to the stone. I can't imagine the effect on a very hard steel blade....Effective for abrasion, but if it's going to chew up the edge and turn my razor blades into serrated knives, that's not what I want from a rifle. In any case, I'm not convinced of the premium character of this gun. I'd have to warn you about the very coarse grain, because apart from sharpening an axe or a scythe, I don't really see its preferred use as a finishing tool. So I'm a little disappointed, but I'm still a fan of the Fischer brand, whose steel rifles are marvels and true premiums, far ahead of the pack.

Be careful, it's a coarse grain for attacking a very tired blade, and you'll have to switch to a finer rifle afterwards... but what an efficiency!

I don't know anything about it, but I have the impression that this ceramic rifle sharpens better than the Fisher in diamonds. The blue surface is coated with gray (?) grime from the knife (Fontenille Pataud). However, it's not easy to make cuts like at the butcher's or on TV. I'm interested in your opinion too.

Perfect for maintaining and even sharpening my knives without the stone (necessary if the knives are very dull). 2 cm more would be appreciated. I recommend.
