Description

Created according to the principles of German gourmet chef Tim Mälzer and forged by master Japanese blacksmiths, Tim Mälzer's Shun Premier series kitchen knives are a concentrate of savoir-faire!

The micro-serrated blade of this Shun Premier Tim Mälzer all-purpose knife by Kai is made from 32-layer damascus stainless steel (a process that alternates a layer of soft and hard steel to ensure the knife is razor-sharp and flexible). It has also been hand-hammered during forging(a technique known as Tsuchime) to give it an exceptional edge. What's more, it has a hard VG 10 core, giving it a hardness index of 61+-1 HRC on the Rockwell scale.

What's more, all the knives in this series are tested by Seki's Japanese master blacksmiths, so the knife in question is perfectly suited to its purpose.

The walnut handle has been designed to be sturdy, ergonomic and lightweight, making every use a pleasure! What's more, it's suitable for both right- and left-handed users, which is a considerable advantage.

Finally, there's the remarkable style of this knife, which is both authentic and modern, with its wooden handle and impeccably finished blade. It will almost become a work of art in your kitchen equipment!

So don't hesitate to check out Kai's entire Shun Premier Tim Mälzer series on KnifeLeader!

Perfect for use ... BUT it doesn't look like the photo.... it's much shinier :(( and the hammering isn't as "chic" as I'd hoped.... Let's just say that "visually" it doesn't live up to its price ........
Answer: Hello, Thank you for your review! It's true that the glossy finish isn't too noticeable on this photo, but on the other knives in the range it's more visible: http://www.knifeleader.eu/shun-premier-tim-malzer/5849-couteau-santoku-shun-premier-tim-malzer-14cm.html We're sorry if you were misled.
