The Wüsthof Amici 16cm chef knife is versatile enough for a wide range of cuts!
A blade that cuts a wide range of foods
The blade of this knife is made of X50CrMoV15 stainless steel, a composition of chromium and carbon that is resistant to shock and corrosion. The blade is forged: this means that it has been shaped from a single block of steel heated to a very high temperature, then given its final shape by a press. It's a process that requires meticulous skill on the part of the blacksmith to ensure that your knife is well-balanced.
The blade's hardness, on the Rockwell scale, is 58HRC: this means it has an effective cutting edge that is easy to maintain with a Sharpening stone or Sharpening steel.
This 1011300116 chef's knife is highly versatile, making it an essential part of your kitchen equipment! Use it to make a wide variety of cuts: chop, mince or slice your food!
A perfect handle for long working life
Made fromolive wood, the handle doesn't absorb odors and is highly resistant to humidity, thanks to its high density. As the olive tree is reputed to be a century-old tree, your knife has many uses ahead of it! As the wood originates from Calabria, the range takes its inspiration from Italy for its name Amici.
The handle is ergonomically shaped for optimum grip and handling, especially for prolonged use. It features 2 rivets that hold the full tang blade in place in the handle, bringing reliability to your knife. What's more, the guard is more pronounced to prevent you from injuring yourself when cutting: this knife can be used in complete safety!
For optimum care of your knife, we recommend hand-washing it and drying it immediately to keep it dry. To restore its shine, oil it with mineral oil.
