The 16cm Ikon meat fork from Wüsthof is the perfect assistant for carving a wide variety of meats!
A tuning fork with sturdy forged prongs
This tuning fork features two X50CrMoV15 stainless steel picks. This alloy ensures great strength and resistance to shock and corrosion. With a length of 16cm, the picks are very sharp and have a razor-sharp edge, ideal to avoid damaging or tearing the meat you're cutting. Their hardness of around 58 HRC guarantees durability and easy sharpening.
The picks are also forged for long-lasting strength. Forging is an operation in which a piece of steel is heated to a very high temperature and then shaped using a press. Wüsthof knifemakers meticulously apply all their know-how to obtain solid full tang picks.
The fork is also ideally balanced thanks to its double stainless steel bolster. This reduces handling effort.
A solid, ergonomic riveted handle
The 9010590016 fork has a top-of-the-range handle made from African grenadilla wood. This is a rare and luxurious wood from a regulated sustainable forest. The wood's high density gives the handle strength and resistance to humidity.
Grenadilla is a living material whose dark hue and grain can vary depending on the piece of wood used to shape the handle. The fork you receive will be unique, as its visual appearance may differ slightly from the model shown here.
The grenadilla inserts are riveted to the meat fork so that it is solid and perfectly stable in use. You have absolute control over the fork.
The handle also has an oval shape, designed to reduce the fatigue associated with intensive use of the meat fork. It's comfortable and ergonomic.
This fork can be washed by hand with a non-abrasive sponge. Be careful not to run the handle under water, then dry the fork immediately after cleaning to preserve its integrity.
