Chandeleur - Everything for pancakes

Chandeleur is an ancient festival celebrated 40 days after Christmas, on February 2 each year, and as usual it's the perfect opportunity to eat countless crêpes without feeling guilty! Whether with sugar, jam, chocolate, whipped cream or fruit, crêpes are available in a thousand different ways to suit everyone's taste or to vary the pleasures (savoury crêpes are also a possibility)!

But why do we eat pancakes at Chandeleur? There are many superstitions, such as the one that predicted that the wheat would be bad the following year if the peasants didn't make pancakes on Candlemas. This meant that the first pancake had to be flipped by throwing it into the air, holding the pancakeFrying pan in the right hand and a golden Louis in the left, then falling perfectly back into the pan, and finally being placed on top of a cupboard. Sounds complicated, but don't worry, you won't need to do all that for yours.

Just equip yourself with the main crepe Utensils for making good, crispy crepes, and you'll be ready to satisfy all your guests: crepe maker, whisk, container, ladle, crepe spatula... not forgetting the ingredients, and a kitchen apron to avoid staining!
