This block is part of the Grand Prix range. Each piece in this particular range shows that the Artelegno brand never ceases to find the best materials, while letting its creativity speak for itself, with an Italian-style design appreciated the world over.
These blocks allow you to keep your knives close at hand, in a functional and aesthetic way! In fact, Artelegno pays particular attention to the design of these knife blocks. As mentioned above, Italian design enjoys a strong international reputation, and Artelegno blocks are designed to be not only practical but also aesthetically captivating. Of course, this same design is at the service of ergonomics and ease of use.
This 2-in-1 block not only stores your kitchen knives, but also features a cutting board, which is integrated into its central section. It's a concentrate of efficiency!
The block's surface is magnetic, so it's considered "universal", i.e. you're not limited by the size of predefined slots, in width and length. In fact, you don't need to insert the knives into the wood: simply place them on the surface of the block, and the magnet acts to lock the steel in place. The knives hold their position perfectly. This feature allows you to store several models of kitchen knives.
The block is available in two finishes: beech or walnut. Both types of wood have been carefully selected to guarantee long-lasting pieces. It's up to you to choose which finish suits you best, in terms of color and grain. Note that if you choose the beech block, the integrated plank will be walnut, and vice versa.
Each wood has been specially treated to make it more resistant to stains. Finally, a water-based varnish, totally suitable for contact with food, is applied to the surface of the wood, to ensure an impeccable finish.

For further information:
Artelegno is an Italian manufacturer, in business since 1960. Two generations of Fazzini are at the helm, and the factory is located in the heart of nature, in a small mountain village in Lombardy.
Artelegno blocks are made by skilled craftsmen, with the idea of bringing life and beauty to the product (as opposed to an assembly-line process). Each block undergoes numerous shaping stages, and is regularly inspected to guarantee impeccable finishes.
Artelegno is particularly attentive to environmental protection. That's why the materials we choose come from forests where environmental sustainability is a top priority, and why the factory complies with strict environmental standards to reduce its impact on nature. For example, it features underfloor heating divided into several sections, fed by a biomass boiler where production waste (wood or wood dust) is transformed into energy. This energy is used, for example, to power the room where the wood is dried.
Don't hesitate any longer, and take the plunge and equip yourself with an Artelegno kitchen block to store all your knives!
