This OpinelBread knife n°116 is part of the Parallèle range, a collection in which wood predominates, designed to be simple, effective, uncluttered and elegant.
The curved blade, 21cm long and 1.5mm thick, is made of X50CrMoV15 steel. This stainless alloy is highly resistant to corrosion and offers excellent cutting quality. The blade is serrated for easy cutting on all types of bread and buns.
The handle is made of light-colored beech wood, solidified by 2 rivets. It is ergonomic and soft to the touch for a comfortable grip. Beech wood is the most commonly used wood for Opinel handles, as it is very resistant and easy to work, and is distinguished by small dark lines and by its color, which oscillates between yellow and light pink. The handle is varnished for added protection against humidity.
Our cleaning tip: make sure you don't completely submerge the handle in water to prevent it from soaking in, and dry it with a soft cloth immediately after washing. We don't recommend putting your knife in the dishwasher, to preserve its good looks and long-lasting effectiveness.
