A butcher's block is very useful, even if you don't work in a professional butcher's shop. In fact, this very thick board is perfectly suited to your day-to-day cutting needs, while being resistant to more exceptional cuts (such as if you use a cleaver to cut small rabbit or chicken bones). To best care for your log, wash it under lukewarm water, without soaking it in advance. Use a soft sponge and mild detergent, then wipe it clean before air-drying it completely to avoid leaving it damp.

The log comes in a minimalist blister pack, to avoid unnecessary boxes. Note also that it has been oiled before dispatch to ensure better protection during transport. When you receive it, wash it before use.
