Each regional knife has its own identity, whether in terms of its shape or the materials used to make it. Master knifemaker Claude Dozorme puts his expertise to work on each of these emblematic folding knives to bring out their full potential. Here, we're talking about the Capucin model with its "Occitan Cross" engraving, which takes its name from the Capucin monks who originated in the Pyrenees. The corbin at the end of the handle is reminiscent of the Capucin monks' hoods.
The Capucin folding knife by Claude Dozorme features the indispensable liner lock system. Its Liner Lock mechanism opens, closes and locks the knife with disconcerting ease. All you need to do is apply pressure with your thumb on the lock plate.
Its blade is made ofX50CrMoV15 stainless steel , whose main advantages are efficient sharpness and easy resharpening. This alloy achieves a strength of 56-57 HRC on the Rockwell scale.
The handle is finished in green oak, a superb wood from our forests with a rich grain that has been used for centuries to make useful, high-quality tools. Finally, the inside of the handle featuresa small pin, very practical for pinching this knife to a trouser pocket, bag or shirt.
