The 7.2cm blade is made from SPG2 steel, a top-of-the-range steel. It is enriched with carbon, hardening the blade to 63 HRC. This hardness is necessary to ensure that the cutting edge remains sharp for a long time.With this type of steel, resharpening is rarely necessary. SPG2 steel is relatively resistant to corrosion, but care should be taken to dry the blade with a cloth after cleaning to preserve its beauty. Note that the knife has a San Maï structure (3 layers), i.e. the SPG2 core is surrounded by a layer of softer steel, to balance the knife's performance.

Once laser-cut, the blade is hand-sharpened by a professional Japanese cutler. This is one of the reasons why the quality of the cutting edge is so high.

The 10cm handle is made of ironwood, a very hard and dense species. Its solidity is an undeniable advantage. Its warm color contrasts perfectly with the steel bolster. The curved, notched part under the handle allows you to rest your finger without the risk of it slipping on the blade.

A steel clip is attached to the top of the handle, an original location that adds modernity to the knife. This allows you to carry* your knife without a sheath.

The blade unfolds smoothly thanks to a double thumb stud. The liner lock secures the blade in the open position, making all your uses safer.
