Let yourself be tempted by the luxury of Mcusta Japanese folding knives! The brand produces exclusively high-end knives made from precious materials, from the blade to the handle. No detail is spared: these are gentlemen's knives par excellence.
This Mcusta Takeri MC202G folding knife is no exception, with every aspect prodigiously well crafted.
The 9.3cm blade is longer than the average of the brand's knives. It will meet the needs of those who are not fans of small blades. Made from VG10 steel, it is both corrosion-resistant and razor-sharp. It's not easy to combine these 2 qualities in cutlery.VG10 steel is a high-carbon steel (an alloy that is usually not very resistant to oxidation), but the chromium contained in VG10 makes it stainless. With a Rockwell hardness of 60 HRC, the blade is hard, with a high-performance cutting edge, and this edge is retained for a long time. Re-sharpening is rarely necessary.
The blade is laser-cut, then hand-finished by a Japanese cutler. He sharpens the blade until the wire is at its finest, to deliver the razor-sharp edge so sought-after.
The 11.5cm handle is made of 66-layer damascus steel. Its shape is reminiscent of a bamboo stalk, and the notched part under the bolster ensures a comfortable, secure grip for your finger. The damascus steel often used for the blades of top-of-the-range Japanese knives is found here on the handle of the Takeri knife, and the result is quite satisfying! The beauty of the damascus is very pleasing and will appeal to Japanese knife enthusiasts. The small hole at the end of the handle allows you to add a small cord if you wish.
The thumb stud opening system is ideal for both right- and left-handed users, as the button is located on both sides of the blade. Opening is smooth and fluid, then the blade locks in the open position thanks to the liner lock. So you can use your knife with peace of mind and in complete safety.
The Mcusta Takeri MC202G folding knife is a luxurious knife that will never disappoint! It's the ideal gift for a Japanese knife enthusiast.
