Easily prepare small fruits and vegetables with the Wüsthof Ikon 7cm forgedbird's beak knife!
Sturdy stainless steel forged blade
This Wüsthof knife 1010532207 has a 7cm curved blade that is ideal for peeling small round fruits and vegetables, but also for cleaning or turning them, like mushrooms. Made from corrosion-resistant X50CrMoV15 stainless steel, the blade is shock-resistant. Its hardness is approximately 58 HRC on the Rockwell scale, guaranteeing long-lasting sharpness and easy maintenance.
The kitchen knife blade is also forged, i.e. formed at very high temperatures using a press by Wüsthof's expert cutlers. Forging ensures a full tang blade that runs the full length of the knife, yet is extremely sturdy.
The knife features a double Bolster that joins the blade and handle for added strength. This double Bolster also adds excellent balance to the knife. Finally, to ensure your safety when using the knife, its guard is marked to prevent your fingers from slipping on the blade.
Ergonomic handle in top-quality wood
This bird's beak knife features an oval-shaped handle that gives you a very good grip. Its shape also helps reduce the fatigue associated with intensive use by providing comfort.
The handle is made from African grenadilla, a rare, luxurious wood whose sustainable exploitation is regulated. African grenadilla wood is very dense, giving you a sturdy, moisture-resistant knife handle.
The grenadilla is solidly riveted to the full tang blade with three rivets. This also gives the knife perfect stability, so you have full control.
Like all types of wood, grenadilla is a living material, whose light veining and dark hue are unique to each individual piece. Each knife is unique.
Knives should only be cleaned by hand, using a non-abrasive sponge and a little washing-up liquid. It is important to dry the knife immediately after washing to ensure that it lasts.
