The Kanetsugu Saya blade guard ensures safe storage of your Zuiun utility knife!

This blade guard has been specially designed to protect the blade of your Kanetsugu Zuiun utility knife. Its shape fits perfectly over the 15cm blade of the utility knife.

The blade guard is made from magnolia wood, a wood used in Japan since the Heian period for its softness, which won't scratch delicate blades. Magnolia is also known for its high resistance to humidity and lightness, providing perfect protection for the knife blade.

The wood has a protective lacquer coating that prolongs its life and gives the blade guard a very elegant design. Its mottled appearance blends harmoniously with the damask blade of the utility knife. In addition, authentic Japanese characters are pyrographed onto the blade guard.

For added protection, a small red lace pin is included. It locks the blade in the guard so you can handle the knife without injury.
