Description

Claude Dozorme has created a modern version of the most charismatic of Pyrenean pocket knives. The "Les Capucins de nos campagnes" series perfectly reproduces the handle shape of this regional model, historically used by shepherds in medieval times. The combination with the flat notch opening/closing system with integrated spring is very attractive, and practical too, since all operations can be performed with just one hand.

The blade of this Capucin Claude Dozorme pocket knife is made of X50CrMoV15 steel. This alloy provides good resistance to corrosion and acidity, as well as a high-performance cutting edge. Its hardness of 56-57 HRC on the Rockwell scale gives the blade enough flexibility to be easily sharpened over time.

The handle is a clear nod to Claude Dozorme, as the end of the handle is curved, a reference to the silhouette of the hoods worn by Capuchin monks of the time. The design is made from boxwood, which gives the knife a distinctly rustic aesthetic, while at the same time providing its characteristic sturdiness.

All knives with a rotating system tend to loosen over time. Claude Dozorme has therefore included a wrench with the knife.
