The HORL® 3 Pro sharpener is a cutting-edge innovation with optimized high-precision internal planetary gearing: it sharpens three times faster than a HORL® 3 sharpener! Made from aluminum and stainless steel, this sharpener is as robust as it is elegant, with a resolutely modern look.
It features two interchangeable sharpening discs at either end of the sharpener:
- diamond disc: made of block diamonds, this disc is 80% more abrasive than that of the HORL® 2 Pro. With a grain size of 420, it guarantees exceptionally precise sharpening, producing clean, fast results.
- ceramic disc: with a grit of around 1000, this finishing disc ensures perfect honing, for a razor-sharp edge of remarkable finesse.
Thanks to its innovative Quick Lock system, the HORL® 3 Pro sharpener enables sharpening discs to be changed with a simple twist. This mechanism ensures stable disc attachment, eliminating any risk of loosening during use and guaranteeing safe, optimal sharpening every time.
The HORL® 3 Pro sharpener comes with a magnetic Grip Pad, offering maximum stability thanks to its flat feet and enlarged neodymium magnets. The Grip Pad provides 70% more grip than the HORL® 2 Pro, safely holding even the highest blades, such as those of nakiri knives. Enjoy a reinforced hold for uncompromising sharpening.
The holder features 6 sharpening angles:
- 10°, 13° and 15° angles are ideal for a fine edge, particularly suited to Japanese blades, which gain finesse without losing stability.
- The 20°, 22° and 25° angles are perfect for long-lasting sharpness, suitable for a variety of cuts in the kitchen and outdoors, for stable, precise knives every day.
To adjust the sharpening angle, simply press the grooved surface on the underside of the holder. This allows you to set 3 positions for the 6 different angles (3 on each side of the holder).
Please note: before using the extreme angles or special angles, make sure your knives are suitable for them and that their manufacturer recommends them.
- Step 1 - Positioning: place the magnetic holder and fix the knife, back against the holder and edge slightly raised.
- Step 2 - Sharpening: holding the holder, roll the sharpener, applying light pressure along the edge of the blade.
- Step 3 - Sharpening: turn the sharpener to use the sharpening surface and smooth the blade in a few passes.
- Step 4 - Finishing: remove the knife, turn it over, and repeat steps 1 to 3 on the other side of the blade.
