Discover the HORL® 3 sharpener, the big brother of the HORL® 2 sharpener! Featuring the same design, the HORL® 3 sharpener boasts even greater efficiency and a 5cm increase in size to suit even the largest hand sizes.

Made from solid walnut wood, the HORL® 3 manual knife sharpener combines elegance and durability. Walnut is a tough, hard-wearing wood that guarantees long life for this quality knife sharpener. Equipped with two interchangeable sharpening discs at either end of the tool, it offers complete care for your blades.

The first disc is made of block diamonds, making it up to 80% more abrasive than the diamond disc on the HORL® 2 sharpener, for fast, precise sharpening with a grit size of approx. 420.

The second ceramic honing disc, with a grit of around 1000, gives you a perfect finish for a razor-sharp edge, leaving your knives smooth and ready for optimal cutting.

The sharpening discs feature the new Quick Lock system. This innovative locking system lets you change sharpening discs with just one hand. Simply rotate them once to lock them in place. This prevents the discs from unscrewing during sharpening.

On the sharpener, where the disc is positioned, is a QR code: by scanning it via your phone, you have access to tutorials, tips and maintenance advice on how to make the most of your HORL® 3 sharpener.

A new magnetic support accompanies the HORL® 3 sharpener: the Grip Pad. Featuring flatter feet, it is perfectly stable during sharpening. What's more, its powerful neodymium magnets are larger than those on the S-Pad, making it even more effective on smaller knives.

Each surface of the magnetic holder is made up of two layers. The first is a hard holding layer, and the second is a softer, gripping layer. This provides up to 70% extra support for your blades, even the highest ones such as a nakiri knife.

The holder features two sharpening angles:

- 15°: ideal for Japanese knives, as it ensures a very sharp edge.

- 20°: ideal for Western knives and pocket knives, for stable sharpening.

How do I use my HORL® 3 sharpener?

Here's how to use your HORL® 3 sharpener in 4 easy steps:

- Step 1: Lay the magnetic holder flat. Place your knife against the magnets: if the blade is large, point the cutting edge upwards and place the back of the blade against the work surface. If the blade is small, the cutting edge should also face upwards, with the edge of the blade slightly above the magnetic support, but without touching the work surface.

- Step 2: Next, hold the magnetic support firmly with one hand. With the other, grasp the sharpener lying on the table between your thumb and forefinger. Roll the sharpener along the edge of the blade, applying light pressure to sharpen effectively.

- Step 3: Turn the sharpener 180° to roll the honing surface along the blade. A few passes back and forth are all it takes to smooth the knife edge and eliminate the morfil.

- Step 4: Finally, gently lever the knife free. Turn it over and repeat steps 1 to 3 to sharpen the other part of the cutting edge!
