Opt for efficient, committed cooking with the Arcos Nórdikaparing knife!
Arcos is based in Albacete, the stronghold of Spanish cutlery. With three hundred years of experience, it enjoys a strong international reputation. Today, Arcos employs over 500 people who work on the brand's 600 knife models. The company dedicates more than 30,000m2 to the manufacture of its knives, using state-of-the-art technologies in a constant quest for quality.
The paring knife is a versatile knife ideal for peeling and slicing vegetables. It features a 10cm blade in Nitrum®stainless steel. This is a steel specially developed by Arcos. It is enriched with nitrogen, giving the blade an increased hardness of 57HRC. Such hardness is the perfect compromise for a long-lasting cutting edge that's easy to maintain. In fact, you can use a Sharpening steel on a daily basis. What's more, stainless steel is a suitable alloy for everyday use, as it resists shocks and corrosion.
The blade features the Silk Edge® cutting edge, for smooth, clean cuts. In fact, this cutting edge combines the know-how of Arcos master cutters with innovative technology, to provide you with even greater cutting quality.
The paring knife handle is made of Ovangkol wood. This wood is native to Africa. It is a 100% natural wood from FSC®-certified sustainably managed forests. This acronym stands for the non-profit Forest Stewardship Council, which promotes responsible management of the world's forest resources from an environmental, economic and social point of view.
The knife's handle offers a pleasant grip and prevents chafing of the hands due to repeated use of the knife. For a stronger hold, 3 corrosion-resistant brass rivets press the wood against the knife's full tang blade (visible along the entire length of the knife). Ovangkol wood gives the knife's handle attractive shades of brown and chocolate, an aesthetic touch for a high-performance knife.
To support its commitment to the environment, Arcos offers this paring knife in a 100% recycled and recyclable cardboard box, reducing the use of plastic in packaging by 70%.
