Description

Naniwa' s Japanese sharpening stones are considered top-of-the-range products. They come in a wide range of grits: from very thick to very coarse, they enable you to sharpen all your knives cleanly and precisely. They are also available in a variety of ranges, so you can find the one that suits you best.

As its name suggests, the Traditional Stone range is a more traditional range from the Japanese brand. The stones in this range are less hard than those in the Super Stone or Professional ranges, but have the advantage of being perfectly pleasant to use. These stones are ideal for beginners to sharpening, as they are easy to use.

Traditional Stone T-420 #2000 Japanese stone features

Its 2000 grit is medium to fine. It is ideal for restoring the sharpness of blades in good condition that have lost some of their cutting potential, but is also suitable as the first step in sharpening knives with a high degree of hardness.

Note that this is a water-based stone. It is therefore necessary to prepare the stone by immersing it in water for 20 to 30 minutes before sharpening.

Once you've finished using the stone, brush it well to remove any accumulated steel residue, then allow it to dry completely before storing. To do this, place the stone in the open air, but well away from a source of heat which, if too great, could crack the stone.

You can add a suitable stone support to raise and stabilize the stone. This ensures safe use.
