This Mono SK59 21cm slicing knife is both stylish and efficient, crafted to the highest German quality standards!
The German Mono brand combines design, top-of-the-range materials and advanced production technologies to offer products that are as beautiful as they are effective. The company has specialized in cutlery and kitchen accessories since 1959.
This slicing knife is part of the SK59 series.
Despite its original appearance, it is extremely easy to use.
The blade is made of Swedish Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel, a grade known for its cutting quality and strength. It is used internationally in many cutting tools. Its composition includes a high percentage of chromium (13.5%), for superior corrosion resistance. It is also enriched with carbon (0.6%), which increases its hardness and promotes excellent edge retention. Finally, it also contains manganese for enhanced wear and abrasion resistance, and silicon to reinforce the anti-corrosive action of chromium. This alloy is easy to maintain and complies with hygiene standards.
Thanks to advanced heat treatment, the knife's hardness is 59HRC on the Rockwell scale. This results in an extremely efficient cutting edge that holds up to sharpening. Despite its high level of hardness, the blade remains flexible enough to ensure strength during use.
A typical Solingen technique is used to smooth and refine the blade surface, using emery paste and rotating leather discs, to improve cutting quality, corrosion resistance and wire retention.
The handle, with its original aesthetic, is made of polyamide reinforced with fiberglass for added strength. It is firmly attached to the blade. Its ergonomic design and elegant shape make it very comfortable to use.
This elegant, geometric design is perfect for any kitchen, adding a touch of originality.
This knife is an ideal gift for any occasion.
