André Verdier is a French cutler located in the cutlery capital of France: Thiers. The brand designs all its products in France, using only local companies.
After several months of trials with Michelin-starred chef Anne-Sophie PIC and her brigade, this long paring knife is now available to the public.
With its 12cm blade, this is a great paring knife- it's even considered a universal knife! It's a must-have for any kitchen. Larger than a paring knife but easier to handle than a chef's knife, it can cut fruit and vegetables with ease. Its special feature is its shape: the back is almost perfectly straight, and the heel of the blade is much lower than the handle, making it much easier to handle than a basic paring knife.
Anne-Sophie Pic, French chef with 3 Michelin stars, wanted to create technical, ergonomic knives with a precise cut. She brought all her technical know-how to this collaboration. The Ecook collection offers easy-to-handle, lightweight knives with a sharp edge.
The blade of this all-purpose knife is made of tempered steel : it has been heated and then cooled very quickly, to reinforce its robustness. It is stainless and therefore corrosion-resistant. Last but not least, it has been technically sharpened to ensure professional cutting quality.
Its Ecoprocess-treated oak handle resists humidity and water!
This knife was designed by the French design couple Catherine and Bruno Lefebvre, who gave it a rustic, authentic look. The designers spent long days in the kitchen, observing cooks' movements. They immersed themselves deeply to understand their needs. The hot-engraving adds considerable value to this knife. André Verdier cutlery contributes its expertise in manufacturing techniques.
Choose a 100% French Ecook Anne-Sophie PIC André Verdier knife, and you'll be rewarded!
