Description

How to use the King S-3 6000 grit whetstone?

The King S-3 grit 6000 sharpening stone is a traditional Japanese water stone. Before using it, soak it for about 15 minutes to allow it to absorb water.

When sharpening, also make sure to keep the stone always wet to preserve the quality of your blades and optimize the stone's performance. Be sure to sharpen the blade evenly on the stone at an angle of between 15 and 20°.

The whetstone comes with an anti-slip base that provides excellent stability and raises the stone, making sharpening easier.

After sharpening your knife, be sure to rinse the stone thoroughly with clean water to remove any steel residue, then allow it to air-dry before storing. Rinse the knife with hot water and dry thoroughly.

The Japanese whetstone for professionals

Your king s-2 6000 grain whetstone is ideal for maintaining and restoring the sharpness of hard to very hard steel blades. Made of composite material, it is sturdy and ensures rapid sharpening. It's a hard stone that's just as suited to expert sharpening enthusiasts as it is to professionals.

Its 6000 grain is considered very fine. This stone is perfect for bringing out the full cutting performance of your knives by polishing their edge. It is particularly suited to hard knives (with a hardness of over 60 HRC), capable of holding a razor-sharp finish (as opposed to knives whose steel is said to be "softer").
