The Home Stone King 220/1000 double-sided whetstone is a traditional water whetstone. Before using it, it's essential to soak it for about 15 minutes to allow it to absorb water. During sharpening, keep the stone regularly moistened to facilitate the process while preserving your blades.
The synthetic stand included with the whetstone is equipped with non-slip feet to ensure perfect stability. The stand raises the stone, facilitating movement during sharpening.
Offering excellent value for money, this whetstone is the ideal solution for easy access to sharpening equipment. Made from composite material, the stone is easy to use, especially for beginners.
Your King Home Stone 220/1000 grain whetstone is the essential stone to have in your home. It ensures regular, effective maintenance of your kitchen knives with its two faces, while taking up little space thanks to its small size of 18.5 x 6.3 x 2.5 cm.
The blue side of the stone has a very thick 220 grit. Its high abrasive power removes a lot of material from the blades. We recommend using it on chipped or badly damaged blades that need to be resharpened. This grain "cleans" the steel.
The brick face has a medium 1000 grit, ideal after a pass on the 220 face. It completes the polishing if the blade has a low to medium hardness, and comes as a step up before a pass on an even finer grit for a knife with a high hardness (over 60 HRC). This versatile, low-abrasive grit is your best ally for the maintenance of blades in good condition that barely cut any more.
