Naniwa is a Japanese company that manufactures sharpening stones and sharpening accessories, and is renowned both in Japan and internationally. It's a high-quality brand that appeals to professionals and private individuals alike: everyone can find the stone that will ensure the best results. Naniwa offers different ranges of sharpening stones to suit all your needs.
Naniwa stones wear very slowly, ensuring long-lasting performance and excellent value for money.
The Naniwa Professional range offers you a whole series of stones with different grits. The stones complement each other to help you achieve a complete and perfect finish on all your knives. Simply adapt the grain of the stone to the condition of your blades!
This sharpening stone features a magnesium abrasive surface bonded with alumina. The bonding agent used by Naniwa is manufactured directly by the company. The result is a bond of reputed quality, making the stone all the more resistant, especially to chipping.
Its 1000 grit is perfect for blades in good condition that still cut but with difficulty. It is a medium grit that gently removes material. Thanks to its excellent abrasion capacity, the stone offers rapid sharpening.
To save you time, this Naniwa Professional stone does not require pre-soaking. To use it, simply moisten it. As soon as you've finished sharpening, brush the stone thoroughly to remove any accumulated steel residue, then allow it to dry completely for storage. To do this, let the stone dry in the open air, away from any source of heat. Too much heat could crack the stone.
You can equip your stone with a suitable stand for safe use. Thanks to the holder, the stone is blocked during use, so you can move it back and forth without worrying about its stability.
