Description

Naniwa sharpening stones are top-of-the-range Japanese sharpening accessories. Available in a wide range of grits, they enable you to sharpen all your blades to perfection. They range from very thick to very fine grit. There are several ranges of sharpening stones to choose from, so you're sure to find the one that suits you best.

The Naniwa Traditional Stone range is more traditional, as the name suggests. It contains stones that are a little softer than those in the Super Stone or Professional ranges, but are still very pleasant to use. They are easy to use, making them ideal for beginners.

8000 grain Japanese Traditional Stone T-380

The 8000 grit is considered very fine. This grit is particularly well-suited for final sharpening, as it refines the cutting edge with a razor-sharp polish. We recommend this grit for blades with a minimum hardness of 60 HRC.

This Traditional Stone is a water-borne stone: it is important to soak it thoroughly before sharpening. Allow 20-30 minutes for preparation.

As soon as you've finished sharpening, brush the stone to remove any steel waste, and allow it to dry completely for storage. Leave the stone in the open air, away from any source of excessive heat which might cause it to crack.

To ensure safe, stable use, the stone can also be fitted with a Naniwa support.

All Naniwa whetstones are available on KnifeLeader.eu!

an 8000 for 65 euros, it's happiness, efficiency, splash and go. The stone isn't too soft and the blade glides smoothly without biting the stone, for a fast, efficient mirror edge! Given its thickness, I think I'll have it for the rest of my life. I recommend it
