The 18cm chef knife is the all-rounder for chopping, mincing, mincing and slicing! Suitable for use on all types of food, including meat, fish, vegetables and fresh herbs. Its small blade makes it easy to handle!
The stainless steel blade is enriched with molybdenum and vanadium. Molybdenum enhances strength and corrosion resistance. Vanadium enhances strength and impact resistance. HRC hardness reaches 56/58 on the Rockwell scale, giving the blade a long-lasting cutting edge. Sharpening remains easy, however!
What's more, to guarantee efficiency from the very first use, the blade has been sharpened on a Sharpening stone by a qualified craftsman.
The handle is made of laminated wood, a lightweight, easy-care material. This handle ensures optimum comfort with an excellent grip during use. What's more, it's suitable for ambidextrous use! The handle features 3 rivets and a steel bolster linking the blade to the handle. It balances the knife, makes it more resistant and adds a final aesthetic touch. Its black color adds a sober touch to the knife.
Shimomura TU-9000 knives are made in Japan by the cutlery company of the same name. Shimomura was founded in 1874, specializing in the manufacture of agricultural tools. From 1957, they were among the first to enter the field of stainless steel knives. Their know-how and high-precision processing technology result in efficient blades suitable for both domestic and professional use.
We recommend washing the knife by hand under running water with a neutral soap, then wiping it with a soft cloth before storing it in a dry place. It is preferable not to apply too much pressure to the handle under water, as this could cause the wood to warp. Careful maintenance will keep your knife looking as good as new.
This chef's knife comes in a gilded cardboard box: ideal as a gift!
