The Wüsthof Ikon 17cmsantoku knife knife is the ideal knife for cutting a wide variety of foods without any fuss!
Its with granton edgeblade adapts to greasy or moist foods.
This knife features a 17cm with granton edge blade. The dimples enable it to cut all types of food, particularly oily and moist foods (salmon, potatoes...), as they prevent them from sticking to the blade.
The blade of the 1010531317 santoku is made of X50CrMoV15 stainless steel, an alloy widely used for its excellent resistance to shock and corrosion. The steel has a hardness of around 58 HRC, giving the blade a long-lasting cutting edge that's easy to sharpen with a stone.
Wüsthof has also forged the blade to make it even more robust. Forging is a painstaking process that requires great expertise: the blade is shaped from a single piece of steel using a high-temperature press. In the end, the blade measures the full length of the knife and is said to be full tang.
The blade and handle are joined by a double stainless steel bolster, which also gives the knife perfect balance by distributing its weight evenly. The knife's guard is also marked to protect your fingers and ensure safe use.
Ergonomic handle in luxury petrol
This Wüsthof santoku isergonomically designed. The oval shape of the handle ensures a good grip and great comfort during use. During intensive use, this shape reduces the risk of fatigue. This knife is ideal for both professional and private use.
The handle is made from rare, top-quality African grenadilla wood from a regulated sustainable forest. This wood is so dense that it ensures the handle's resistance to humidity and robustness.
Please note that your santoku may look slightly different from the model shown here. This is due to its unique brown hue and lighter grain. Every santoku is unique.
To ensure a stable knife that you can control while cutting, three stainless steel rivets press the handle against the full tang blade. They also reinforce its solidity.
This Wüsthof santoku should be washed by hand with a non-abrasive sponge and a little washing-up liquid. Use a clean cloth immediately to dry and preserve it.
