There's no doubt about the quality of Zwilling products. Since 1731, the cutlery company has been improving its production facilities to meet the demands of professionals and cooking enthusiasts alike. The Four Star range celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2016, and is Zwilling's best-selling knife series worldwide.
The 16cm blade of this chef's knife is made of stainless steel. Zwilling has chosen to enrich this steel with chromium and carbon for a stronger, more corrosion-resistant material. The blade is cut from a single piece of steel using the SIGMAFORGE process perfected by the cutlery industry. The resulting blade is full tang: robust and stable. The blade is then cold-hardened ( FRIODUR technology developed by the manufacturer) to maximize its strength.
The blade's cutting edge has a cumulative angle of 30° (i.e. 15° on each side) with a V-edge profile. This allows the blade to glide through food for effortless cutting.
The 12.9cm black handle is made of high-quality synthetic material. It rests directly on the tang of the blade for sturdy, long-lasting results. The handle's ergonomic design ensures a comfortable grip! The bolster prevents your fingers from slipping on the blade for total safety.
Manual care is highly recommended: hand-wash followed immediately by drying with a soft cloth. The high cutting performance and appearance of this knife will be preserved for a long time to come.
