Wüsthof knives with a high-performance DLC-coated blade

The kitchen knives in this range are easily recognized by their black blade. Made from X50CrMoV15 stainless steel, the blade is robust, shock-resistant and corrosion-resistant. Precision laser-honed, its hardness is around 58 HRC, ensuring a high-performance edge and easy sharpening. To ensure extreme hardness, the blade of Wusthof Performer knives is then coated with DLC, or Diamond-like-Carbon. This matt-black coating has a carbon structure whose hardness is close to that of a diamond. It enables the santoku knife blade to resist scratches and acidic foods such as tomatoes and lemons. And for an aesthetic touch, the Wüsthof logo is stamped in large letters across the back of the blade. Real knives, real performance, real design!

An original non-slip handle for the Performer range

The handle of the Wüsthof Performer knife has also been designed for long-lasting performance. It is made of polyamide, a synthetic material offering great strength and durability. Reinforced with 15% fiberglass, it is also resistant to high temperatures and wear, and has excellent shock-absorbing properties. The handle of your Performer bread knife is therefore comfortable to use, and won't tire you out over time. With performance in mind, the surface of the handle is textured like a honeycomb: this is the Hexagon Power Grip. This technology ensures a safe, non-slip grip, even when your hands are wet.
