Description

Give your Atoma stone a new lease on life with the Economy 140 diamond replacement plate!

The ideal replacement plate for saving money

This replacement plate is an economical solution for your Atoma EconomySharpening stone. It saves you from having to buy a whole new stone when it stops sharpening.

The basic stone is designed with this in mind. Its original diamond plate is attached to its aluminum holder with a powerful double-sided adhesive strip. This new plate also features the adhesive strip.

The steel plate is coated with abrasive particles distributed over its surface in the form of small, solid dots that won't come loose and allow water to run off easily during sharpening.

The plate's #140 coarse grit is ideal for knives with badly damaged or chipped blades, as it recovers their cutting edge.

How to replace the diamond plate?

To replace the diamond plate, proceed as follows:

1. Heat the plate to be replaced by placing the stone in hot water for about fifteen minutes. This will remove the glue more easily.

2. Use a flathead screwdriver or similar to pry the plate to be replaced from its aluminum support. Be careful not to hurt yourself or damage the stone.

3. Clean the support with white spirit or acetone. This will remove all glue residues and degrease the aluminum support.

4. Glue the new plate to the bracket, making sure they are aligned. Proceed gently at this stage and press firmly.

And that's it! Your diamond Sharpening stone is as good as new! It's a high-quality Atoma plate made in Japan by Tsuboman. This new plate is here to stay!

No surprises with this brand. It's quite expensive but you know what you're buying compared with other cheap stones.
