As well as being handy, the Chef knife is versatile. Like its Japanese counterpart, the santoku knife, you can use it to slice and chop meat and fish, but also to slice small foods and vegetables.
The blade is made of Nitrocut NCV50® stainless steel, a compound of molybdenum and nitrogen. It is stronger than standard steels and requires only infrequent sharpening. Its resistance to shock and corrosion is a real asset, making maintenance much easier and keeping the knife looking good longer.
As for the handle, it's made of polypropylene, a polymer that's very hygienic and pleasant to the touch. The fact that it is overmolded reinforces the safety of the whole piece. What's more, its shape adapts to all hand shapes and sizes for even greater cutting performance.
Its red colornot only differentiates it from your colleagues' equipment, but also allows you to assign it a precise function to avoid cross-contamination.
