Thanks to this assortment, you'll be at ease with all types of cutting. You'll have all the basic equipment you need to prepare your recipes.
Let's talk about equipment:
The Ideal Inox knife series is made in France, and combines timeless style with great efficiency. You'll love every Ideal Inox knife, whether you're a professional or a passionate amateur!
The blade of each knife is made of stainless steel, guaranteeing high resistance to corrosion. The blade has been entirely forged, i.e. it has been shaped froma single piece of steel (to avoid welding and gluing points that could weaken it).
The final edge of the knives is hand-ground, to guarantee perfect penetration of your food right from the first use.
The handle is made of black POM, a durable polymer. The grip is ideal, and the 3 stainless steel through rivets give the knife a pleasant balance.
Let's discover the backpack in detail:
Its maxi capacity allows you to gather all your gear in it, so you don't have to carry several bags and briefcases, which isn't necessarily practical if you're taking public transport! In fact, the bag has around 32 compartments, arranged on 3 removable trays.
How are my storage spaces arranged?
Front section:
The front part of the bag has a small zippered top pocket, which you can use to store your personal papers, a coin purse, and so on.
Another front pocket can be accessed by unclipping a small buckle. It opens via two side zippers and itself contains several storage spaces: a long zipped pocket, a space that can be closed with a Velcro fastener (for a smartphone or glasses, for example) and a space for 3 pens.
Behind this storage space, two new accordion compartments are revealed, where you can put, for example: recipe books, technical data sheets, a small laptop, a tablet, an apron...
A further pocket is available behind these slots. You access it by opening a zipper along the surface of the bag. You can put in other recipe books, a spare tee shirt, files... Its large capacity means you'll be right at home!
Inside left :
The bag's main compartments open with a zipper. On the left-hand side, you'll find a removable storage plate that can be clipped to the bag and contains 8 storage spaces (some are smaller than others, so you can adapt your equipment to the size of the sleeves).
A small flap with clip fasteners covers the blades of the knives you put in it, or the upper part of your utensils.
The maximum blade length you can insert (assuming the handle stops at the elastic band) is 27cm.
There's plenty of space for a bread knife, carving knife, etc.
Right inner part :
The right side of the bag features two removable plates, one of which can be attached directly to the backpack with small clips.
The two plates are identical, with several elastics for storage on the front of their surface. 12 elastics are arranged across its width (i.e. 2x6, as one row of 6 faces another row of 6), allowing you either to arrange 6 large pieces (which will therefore be held at their 2 ends), or 12 small pieces (which will therefore be passed through one elastic each).
The width of the rubber bands is approx. 4.5 cm, and the surface area of a plate is approx. 27 x 41.5 cm.
You can use a straight spatula, a zester, a melon baller, a thermometer...
As the 3 plates in the bag are removable, they are easy to clean. Simply unclip them, empty them of their utensils, and wipe them down with a sponge to remove any traces of food.
Its ergonomic shape (like a schoolboy's backpack) distributes the weight of the equipment evenly over your shoulders, leaving your arms and hands free. This way, you don't have the full weight of the container tilting you to one side (as would be the case with a briefcase, for example, which also takes up your hand).
It has two reinforced, adjustable shoulder straps that are comfortable to wear. Finally, a small handle on the front allows you to hold it in your hand if you wish.
Complete bag dimensions: (L) 49cm (including handle) x (W) 34cm x (H) 10.5 cm. Empty weight: 2.24kg.
You can treat yourself or offer it as a gift to a student at a hotel school, or a chef who's often on the move. You're in for a real treat!
