Description

Naniwa Professional whetstone with 2000 grit

The Naniwa Professional range includes stones with different grits that complement each other. This means you can sharpen all your blades to perfection, simply by adapting the grit of the stone to the condition of your knives!

The sharpening stone features an abrasive surface made of magnesium bonded with abrasive alumina. The binder used by the brand is manufactured in-house, and its quality is renowned. This makes the stone more resistant, particularly to chipping.

Naniwa recommends the 2000 grit for regular maintenance of very hard alloys, allowing them to regain their edge before moving on to a higher grit. You can also use this grit for finishing on medium HRC steels, giving them a razor-sharp edge. The stone ensures rapid sharpening thanks to its excellent abrasive capacity.

To save you even more time, this Naniwa Professional stone does not need to be pre-soaked. Simply moisten it before use. Once you've finished sharpening, brush the stone thoroughly to remove any steel waste. Then let it dry in the open air, without putting it near a source of heat which would be too strong and risk cracking it. Wait until the stone is completely dry before storing.

You can also add a suitable support to block the stone. You'll be able to move back and forth without worrying about stability. The support ensures safe use of the stone.
