A precise paring knife for everyday use
Discover the Ryda Knives A-30 San Maï paring knife, a compact model designed for precision and ease of use when making small cuts! This knife is aimed at experienced users looking for a reliable knife for meticulous work.
The A-30 paring knife is ideal for peeling, carving, chiseling or working with small foods with precision. Its short blade provides excellent control, facilitating precise gestures with minimum effort. Its light weight means you can work for long periods without tiring.
A San Maï blade for fine, controlled cutting
The 9cm blade is based on a San Maï structure, composed of 3 layers of steel. The hard central core is protected by two softer outer layers of 316 and 316L stainless steel, providing strength and durability.
The core is made of AUS-10 Japanese stainless steel, enriched with approximately 1.05% carbon, for a precise, even cutting edge. The blade benefits from cryogenic treatment, which improves the internal structure of the steel and enhances edge retention over time. Its hardness rises to around 60 HRC on the Rockwell scale, offering a good compromise between performance and ease of maintenance.
Its heel is rounded to improve grip: your index finger is naturally positioned close to the bolster, offering better control. This allows you to perform precise gestures while reducing fatigue during prolonged use.
Theflat cutting edge ensures clean penetration of food, ideal for fine cuts. The satin finish provides a discreet finish while limiting the appearance of marks.
Weighing just 60g, this knife is precise and easy to handle for meticulous work.
Handle design for optimum comfort
The knife's handle is made from walnut wood, an elegant species that offers a unique grain to each piece. It also provides a pleasant feel, enhancing comfort during repeated use. Walnut has been stabilized by vacuum treatment to improve its resistance to humidity and temperature variations.
The slim, slightly domed handle shape ensures a firm, natural grip. This shape allows the knife to be held securely, improving the precision of gestures.
The handle is decorated witha beveled green and gold ring, providing a neat finish. The stainless steel bolster enhances the overall balance, while the beveled mosaic base reinforces the knife's high-end character.
