Let's go into the technical details of Ideal knives:

- The blade of each of these knives is made of top-quality stainless steel produced in Grenoble, France. This steel is highly resistant to corrosion. It contains 0.5% carbon, making it easy to sharpen. What's more, because it's not excessively hard, it's more resistant to shocks. In fact, very solid blades break more easily and sharply if they are put to the test.

Enriched with nitrogen, hardness is increased to improve sharpness. This steel remains rather supple, and will tend to deform rather than break cleanly if subjected to impact.

The blade is also entirely forged, meaning that it has been shaped from a solid piece of steel (a steel bar), to avoid sticking points. The steel bar used in this process will form the blade, bolster and tang, all in one piece. The blade is shaped using high heat and a press to give it its final form. This process requires unique know-how: each knife is "fuller" in the hand, more balanced.

- Final sharpening is done by hand and with a grinding wheel, for an impeccable finish. You'll feel it right from the first cut: the blade has no trouble penetrating food.

- The handle is made of black POM, a durable polymer. The grip is ideal, and the 3 stainless steel rivets ensure that the whole knife is held securely in place.

Then there's the case! It's made of tough, durable black nylon. It has 12 compartments to hold your knives, fork and additional equipment if required. The maximum blade size you can fit is around 30cm.

A flap is placed over the functional part of your equipment, to protect it. This flap has several additional small storage spaces, dedicated to cards, pens and even a few small accessories such as a corer, a zester...The case also features a small side pocket that opens and closes with a zipper.

There's a front handle to grip it by hand, or you can use the handy shoulder strap to slip around your shoulders. The shoulder strap is adjustable to suit your needs, and can also be detached from the case. Finally, there's a space on the outside of the case for your name or contact details.
