A polishing gun is the ultimate sharpening step. By using it on your sharpened blades, you ensure a razor-sharp edge.
This FISCHER sharpening steel has been designed to finish the sharpening of your knives impeccably. In fact, after sharpening, there is always a morfil left on the steel, i.e. small metal scraps that create roughness on the blade edge. To clean the wire, a polishing gun is highly recommended. It also gives your knives, whether professional or domestic, a razor-sharp edge.
The round wick is 30cm long. It is made of carbon steel (enriched up to 1%) with a hardness of 64-66 HRC. The wick is also coated with a layer of hard chromium to further enhance its overall hardness.
The Sharpening steel also features a ferrule and guard developed in stainless steel, to protect your fingers holding the Sharpening steel from the blade being sharpened.
The handle is made of beige PP (a tough synthetic material). The grip is easy and instinctive! Finally, the end of the handle is fitted with a nickel-plated steel ring, for example, to hang up the Sharpening steel when you're done using it.
