The Nogent Classic 19cm bread knife is at home in any kitchen!
The blade of this bread knife is made of hardened stainless steel, making it extremely robust, shockproof and corrosion-resistant. The blade reaches a hardness of around 57 HRC on the Rockwell scale, synonymous with an extra-strong tang and efficient cutting edge.
Measuring 19cm, it also features a serrated edge that makes the knife quite versatile. In addition to cutting baguettes, rolls, brioches and viennoiseries, you can also easily slice exotic fruits such as pineapple. In fact, the serrated edge is particularly effective on thick-skinned fruit.
The handle of this bread knife is made from hornbeam wood. This wood is very robust, ensuring a long-lasting knife handle.
Hornbeam wood is naturally light in color, with a pronounced grain. Nogent has chosen to dry hornbeam wood for a year before processing it. After drying, it was stained cherry color and then varnished, giving the knife handle an attractive, traditional look. The varnish also protects the wood from external aggression.
The hornbeam wood handle is finally fixed to the tang with two brass rivets, to guarantee safe, reliable use over time.
This knife is made in France by Nogent, a company with century-old expertise.
