Description

With over 100 years' experience in cutlery, Sabatier is the perfect representative of a renowned heritage, supported by elaborate manufacturing techniques and a tradition handed down from generation to generation.

The 100% forgedBrocéliande range will appeal to the most demanding of cooks. 100% French, it takes you to the heart of the Thiers cutlery tradition, whether you're a passionate amateur or a professional chef.

This 20cm Sabatier Brocéliande chef's knife is a versatile model, enabling you to chop, mince or chisel various foods such as meat (boneless), vegetables, fresh herbs...It's a great choice if you're just starting out and don't know which model to choose.

Its blade is made of N4116 Nitro+ stainless steel, which means it's strong enough to last you a long time, yet resistant to corrosion. Reinforced with nitrogen, the alloy increases the blade's hardness for a longer-lasting, stiffer cutting edge, while further enhancing its resistance to oxidation. The blade of the Brocéliande knife is "forged", i.e. made from a solid piece of steel. This is an added value for the knife, which is all the more solid because there are no sticking points. In the end, the knife is also more balanced in the hand, more full-bodied.

The handle is the most charming feature of this Sabatier range, as it is made of beech wood, which adds warmth to the knife. It is sturdy and pleasant to hold. It has 3 stainless steel rivets running through it, ensuring that the steel and wood parts are held together. Each knife is unique, since the handle is cut from a different piece of wood for each model.

Care and maintenance :

The knife should be washed by hand. This more delicate care will preserve its original appearance over time. Once washed, dry quickly with a soft cloth and store away from moisture.

Beautiful piece!
language rating 10
Visually beautiful, good grip and an excellent blade, according to its new owner( 60 years old): "I don't think I've ever had a knife that cuts so well", while slicing a rib of beef with stars in his eyes. Be careful with this Sabatier brand (because yes, several brands are called "Sabatier quelque-chose"): while this knife is indeed 100% forged made in France, other models (of this same brand) are assemblies manufactured far from Thiers (their cost is greatly reduced, that's why!). Here quality is not to be reviewed :)
