The Fischer Ideal 25cm fine grain sharpening steel is your everyday companion for keeping your blades sharp!
With its fine grain, this sharpening steel is recommended for restoring a smooth edge to your blades. It is particularly suitable for professionals who use their knives intensively on a daily basis: butchers, chefs, etc. A fine-grain sharpening steel is indispensable in your kitchen, and should be used every time before you start work.
This sharpening steel is made of 100C6 carbon steel with a carbon content of 1%. The wick is coated with a hard chromium layer between 8 and 10 microns thick. This coating protects against corrosion and increases surface hardness by 3 to 4 HRC on the edges.
What's more, thanks to the brand's perfectly mastered heat treatment process, a hardness of between 64 and 66 HRC is guaranteed for sharpening Sharpening steels, enabling all knives and all steels to be sharpened.
The gun is also magnetized to retain the tiny steel particles that detach from the blade during sharpening.
With 170 years' experience in sharpening, Fischer has genuine expertise in the field. Their guns are highly appreciated by many professionals.
