Description
We're sure that the Wusaki carry case will meet all your transport criteria! It lets you take your knives and utensils with you wherever you go, thanks to its appreciable functionality and lightness. It combines the ease of transport of a soft case with the security of a hard case.
It is made from black polyester, a tough material that holds up very well over time. The polyester has been designed to be thick enough to ensure that the case is secure, yet light enough to avoid the back pain that an overly imposing structure could cause during the working day.
It has 21 15cm-long storage compartments on 4 sides. These slots are closed by a small elastic band to secure the equipment. Note that the widths of these slots are not the same on all sides of the case. In fact, one of them is designed for large handles, 2 others for medium handles and the last one for small handles (for example, utensils such as a corer, a zester...).
3 of the 4 sides of the case feature an additional Velcro fastener to consolidate the position of longer knives and utensils. Simply slide it over the blade of your Wusaki santoku knife, for example, to ensure that the blade is securely clamped and nothing moves during transport. The last (central) side features a small flap that snaps into place. This allows you to fit small utensils whose length would not reach the velcro fasteners on the other sides.

It closes with a large zipper. Its handle lets you take it by hand, and you can also use the removable shoulder strap to carry it over the shoulder to free up both arms. The shoulder strap is also adjustable to suit your size, and has a silicone reinforcement to protect your shoulder.
The back of the case features a large pocket for additional storage. A recipe book, an apron, a notebook... you name it!
This well-thought-out empty case lets you carry your favorite equipment safely and in style! The Wusaki logo, embroidered in white on the black surface, adds a touch of authenticity and contrast. Suitable for both professional cooks and apprentices in catering schools.
To wash it, simply soak it in lukewarm water with mild soap, and off you go! If you get a small stain on it while serving, you can clean it locally with a sponge thanks to its smooth polymer trays.

Well made and very useful, how ever the knives are not easy to secure in position and have a tenancy to slide out when opening. Not a problem on a flat surface, so I could put it down to user error, but I think I should be able to open it on my knee for example and not feel that the one knife or another might make a break for the exit. That said it is very good value for money, and if you remember to open iit flat .I would still recommend it. So not a deal breaker at all, you could pay a lot more for a lot less.

Very nice. Knives are well protected and don't move. The length is very practical, my 28cm knife fits perfectly and so does my 42cm rolling pin. On the other hand, it's really made for thin, long knives and utensils. I'd like to be able to fit slightly wider utensils or those with unconventional shapes, as it 's hard to fit everything in. At least one of these wider elastic pockets would be perfect for my little mandolin.

If we really want to go into detail, 2 points could still be improved: the shoulder strap is a little "light" compared to the fine quality of the case, and the Velcro straps holding the knives do the job well, but would have deserved to be a little longer. Small downside (we had to save money somewhere, given the quality/price ratio): fastening tabs and shoulder strap, as well as the zipper sliders are really very cheap.... shame!

Very practical and sturdy. I' ve been using it for over two weeks and have taken it to other kitchens for "extra" cooking. The small compartments on the central board are perfect for holding two instruments, so I've been able to take my peeling knives, zesters and even scissors with me.
