Arcos knives are designed for professionals and home cooks alike. Made in Spain, they are high-performance, ergonomic and easy to use. They'll help you prepare your most complex recipes, as well as your everyday meals.
The Arcos Manhattan series is unique. High-quality materials combined with innovative manufacturing processes and Arcos know-how result in knives that are out of the ordinary in terms of efficiency. This 20cmBread knife features a serrated blade for perfect slicing of bread and buns.
The knife is forged, i.e. made from a single solid bar of steel. It is then heated and pressed into its final shape. Since it comes from a single block, it is much stronger, with no sticking points that could weaken it over the long term. The blade is made of NITRUM®stainless steel, a nitrogen-concentrated alloy for increased blade hardness (a composition specially developed by Arcos). With a hardness of 57 HRC, it offers a long-lasting sharpness for long-lasting performance. This is a very good steel for regular use.
The knife features a new-generation cutting edge, the fruit of the latest technologies in the sector. Its total cutting angle, called Silk Edge®, is 24/25°: your cuts are clean and precise. The back of the blade has also been softened, a special design that adapts the cutting surface to the specific gestures of chefs. Its Bolster also features a new design, allowing the wire to be fully sharpened to guarantee perfect cutting quality. The handle is made of black POM, a highly resistant synthetic material, particularly in the face of temperature variations and detergents often encountered in the kitchen. It is enriched with Bactiproof Silver® treatment, which effectively fights bacteria. 3 stainless steel rivets secure the POM to the full tang blade.
In terms of style, this is a timeless knife! It will always find its place in the kitchen, thanks to its dynamic shape and sober colors.
Wash by hand, then dry immediately to avoid prolonged contact with moisture. That way, you'll be able to look after it for years to come.
