This set of Zwilling Pro steak knives is the epitome of German cutlery expertise: you'll be able to cut all types of meat to perfection, without damaging them, for a successful meal every time!
First of all, the smooth 12cm blade of each knife is made of top-quality stainless steel: designed according to a formula specially developed by the brand.
These blades feature the ideal combination of carbon and chromium elements, for tenfold corrosion resistance, as well as rock-solid strength! Their final hardness is 56/58 HRC, so they're tough, but easy to sharpen if necessary.
Blades are forged using the Sigmaforge process, i.e. they are precision-engineered from a single piece of steel, giving them ideal geometry and tenfold balance.
They are finished with Zwilling's own Friodur heat treatment: the blade is cooled in ice to its ideal temperature. This gives the blades a much higher-performance edge, a pleasant suppleness (to avoid breaking at the slightest blow) and a tenfold resistance to corrosion.
The final sharpening is done in Profil V-Edge (with a "V" shape), at 15° on both sides of each blade (a total of 30°). The cutting edge is sharp, and rivals even some Japanese knives! In this way, food fibers are not broken, but sliced cleanly, for a respected taste.
The handle is made of black synthetic material, which contrasts perfectly with the raw steel blade. Its ergonomic design makes it easy and pleasant to use, and the 3 rivets ensure that each knife is even more robust, given that the full tang blade extends into the handle and is surrounded by these rivets.
Italian designer Matteo Thun was responsible for the sleek styling of the Zwilling Pro range. Their final appearance is simply timeless.
It's easy to see why Zwilling has almost 300 years' experience in knife design: the manufacturer's design is in line with a philosophy of respect for food. You need the right Utensils for the right cuts!
Drawing on its formidable "Soligen" know-how, Zwilling uses the latest innovation and creative processes to design exceptional blades that you'll keep for years to come!
